Fix Electrical was approached by Te Ana marina to complete an upgrade to there Pedestal power system, after several months trying to get traction in the project we were approached to see if Fix Electrical could finish this time sensitive project as quickly as possible, with as little disruption to power, customers and vessels possible.
190 pedestals were refitted with a MESH WIFI system to allow remote power monitoring of each induvial vessel. We were able to achieve this through careful planning and effective implementation of a well-formed process of two teams one rewiring a complete internal pedestal off site to be swapped put by a team in the field, this included field testing of meter loading and accuracy and correct connection signal to the WIFI system and the computer logging software for correct power values and subsequent charging to customers, we were able to deliver this project on time and on budget despite working in winter and a trying marine environment.
